Safety

How Kanto handles safety

Kanto is built around community discussion, but not every behavior belongs here. These pages explain the rules, how reports are reviewed, what moderators can do, and how users can ask for a decision to be reviewed.

Safety principles

  • Rules should be understandable to normal users, not only to moderators.
  • Moderation actions should be scoped: community tools are for community-level problems, site tools are for site-wide risk.
  • Reports and appeals should preserve enough context to review decisions fairly.
  • Private or sensitive workflows still need server-side visibility rules and moderator review paths.
