Data requests
Account holders can request correction or deletion of some or all of their data without necessarily removing the entire account. This page explains how to submit that request and what Kanto does with it.
How to submit a request
- Sign in to your Kanto account.
- Open Settings.
- Go to the Account & data section.
- Use the Submit a request form.
- Select either Privacy request or Correction request.
- Describe what data you want deleted, corrected, or reviewed.
If you cannot access the account, contact axeeeeeel@proton.me. Kanto may need enough information to verify that the request belongs to the correct account before acting on it.
What this covers
- Deletion of selected account-linked data without removing the full account.
- Correction of inaccurate account information.
- Review of privacy-related concerns about stored account data.
What may be deleted or retained
The exact result depends on the request and on technical, safety, and legal constraints. Kanto’s default posture is privacy-minimizing, but some data may need to be retained temporarily for security, abuse prevention, moderation, legal compliance, or short-lived infrastructure behavior.
- Examples of data that may be reviewed for deletion include profile information, selected account-linked content, or other account-scoped records.
- Examples of data that may be retained temporarily include short-lived caches, backup snapshots, or narrowly scoped operational and security records.
- If full account removal is the correct path, Kanto may direct you to Account removal.
